Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers notice how films build and organize their visual worlds. Send proposals through the Contact page, with the subject set to an editorial question or general message, and tell us what you want to examine and why it suits Bold Cinema Review.
What we welcome
We are interested in clear, original pieces about production design, composition, genre imagery, screen worlds and visual motifs. A useful pitch starts with a particular question or observable choice, then shows how it could lead to an engaging piece for general film viewers.
A pitch with a point
Include a working title, a short outline, the film or films you would discuss, and any sources needed for factual background. Explain the central idea in your own words. Avoid pitches that depend on claims about a filmmaker's private intentions or treat a familiar visual detail as proof of one hidden meaning.
Before sending
Please send a proposal rather than an unsolicited finished article. Tell us whether the idea has been offered elsewhere and mention any relevant interests or relationships that readers should know about. We cannot promise publication, and a submission is not an endorsement of every interpretation it contains.
